Cassidy Gearhart is a editor whose craft is rooted in the fertile soil of motion graphics and film.
Before cutting a frame professionally, he had already amassed years of motion graphics, documentary and experimental film work. Harnessing the disciplines of design, writing, and animation on his own terms using the same DIY instincts that shaped him growing up via the hardcore/punk, skateboarding, and zine-making cultures where you learned every part of the process yourself because no one else was going to do it for you.
That formation shows in the work, with an editorial approach rooted in texture, atmosphere, and interior human experience.
Where structure, rhythm, and meaning are carved from the inside out. With a voice equal parts formal discipline and emotional intuition.

Whether cutting spots for Uber, Lincoln, Under Armour's "The Only Way Is Through" campaign, trailers for Oscar-winning director Ross Kauffman and Peabody Award-winning director Kim A. Snyder, episodes of the Roku series The Fix (narrated by Samuel L. Jackson), or the viral hot-rod short The Real Thing, he brings the same narrative discipline and visual rigor to each project.
Born in Kalamazoo and raised in Annapolis, Cassidy spent a decade in New York City before relocating to Los Angeles.
